The SiTime SiT8033 is the world’s lowest power, 2-frequency programmable oscillator. It provides customers the ability to select one of two related frequencies from the same device, enabling them to simplify their supply chain and reduce inventory cost by using the same device in multiple designs.

With its innovative MEMS First™ resonator technology, SiTime is able to mass produce reliable, high performance silicon timing solutions for a wide variety of applications, and is replacing decades-old quartz oscillators (XO). The SiT8033 all-silicon oscillator comes in four industry standard packages. Like all SiTime products, the SiT8033 programmable oscillator is lead free and RoHS compliant.

Key Features and Benefits

    • Any frequency between 1 MHz to 80 MHz
    • Selected frequencies between 80 MHz and 110 MHz for PCI Express, Fiber Channel, Firewire (1394 or iLink) and SATA
    • Voltage options of 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 2.8 V and 3.3 V
    • Frequency tolerance from ±25 PPM to ±100 PPM
  • Ultra fast lead time of 2 to 3 weeks enhances our customers’ ability to meet demand fluctuations and reduce inventory overhead

SiT8033 Advantages
All of SiTime’s MEMS-based silicon timing solutions have inherent size, height, robustness, reliability, performance and lead time advantages over the competition. Samples can be delivered in 24-48 hours, and production quantities can be delivered with lead times of 2-3 weeks – the shortest in the industry.

SiT8033 Applications
Any electronic device application that uses related frequencies and requires low power consumption, fast start-up time and small sizes can benefit from the SiT8033 low power 2-frequency programmable oscillator. Typical target applications include:

  • USB (48 MHz, 24 MHz or 12 MHz)
  • Ethernet (50 MHz or 25 MHz)
  • Audio (24.576 MHz or 12.288 MHz)
  • Video (54 MHz and 27 MHz)
  • MCU clocking (66 MHz and 33 MHz)
